On March 17, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism unveiled its sixth list of national-level intangible cultural heritage (ICH) representative inheritors, with four distinguished Changzhou artisans honored for their expertise:
-
Kuo Chen, master of Tianning Temple Buddhist Chanting and Recitation, preserving sacred musical traditions.
-
Sun Yanyun, expert in Changzhou Random Stitch Embroidery, a refined branch of Suxiu embroidery.
-
Xiao Jianbo, inheritor of Changzhou’s Micro-Engraving Arts, specializing in ultra-fine carving techniques.
