Recently, two urban renewal projects from Changzhou—the Manbai Future Talent Community Renovation and the Qingguo Lane Phase II ACEF Area and Underground Passage Project—were honored with the 2023 Yangtze Cup Award for Quality Construction Projects, one of Jiangsu province’s most prestigious awards for architectural excellence.
This year, only 10 projects in the urban renewal category received the distinction, underscoring the exceptional standards of Changzhou’s winning entries.
Manbai Future Talent Community Renovation – Transforming idle state-owned assets into a vibrant living hub, this project incorporates intelligent operations, tailored interior upgrades, and social capital engagement to accommodate diverse talent groups. Qingguo Lane Phase II ACEF Area & Underground Passage – Blending historic preservation with contemporary architecture, this project seamlessly integrates old-world charm with modern functionality. Its organic urban renewal approach enhances the district’s cultural heritage while improving livability for residents and visitors alike.
These award-winning projects highlight Changzhou’s commitment to preserving history while embracing innovation. Through strategic renovations, intelligent management, and cultural enrichment, the city continues to set new benchmarks in people-centered urban development.
